Magnolia Christmas

Staying at home the last days with a sick child has given me quite some cardmaking- and craftingtime, - couldn't start any noising housework when she was asleep, could I...
Here's a christmascard I made today.
I found the sketch for it at Sketch N Stash - a perfect sketch for an easelcard, I think.
Having found the sketch, I used TOMIC's Bingochallenge to find what I'd use for the card.
Just Magnolia came with a new challenge this morning, that sounded "Christmas is coming!", so it had to be christmasstuff and -colours.
And since Magnolia Down Under Challenge's sounds "Getting Punchy" I could use my dear snowflakepunches as well as a borderpunch.
The papers are Magnolias "Bon Voyage - White weathered wood" and "So Jolly - Sealed".
I also placed a real seal, with the greeting "God Jul" (Merry Christmas) to the left of the image (of course a Magnoliaimage, coloured with ProMarkers).
Inside the easelcard I made a pocket for a tag, for the personal greeting one always want to write on a christmascard.
The textstamp inside the card is from Storyteller.
I also discovered a new Challengeblog today, Crimbo Crackers, a biweekly christmaschallengeblog. I really look forward to follow that.
(Had plenty of time searching around the internet too these days...)

Here comes two pictures, showing the inside of the card...

And a list of the challenges I'll enter my card into:

TOMIC - Bingo (Metal embellishment, Ribbons & Bows, Magnolia Patterned Paper)
Crimbo Crackers - Anything Goes
Just Magnolia - Christmas is Coming
Magnolia Down Under Challenges - Getting Punchy
Sketch N Stash - Sketch (new papers, my neglected stuff is the seal"thing" - bought several of them a couple of years ago, but rarely use them :( )

3 B's at Fussy and Fancy

Good Friday Morning, everyone!

Have you joined in on Fussy and Fancy Fridays 3B's challenge yet - if you haven't you still have a short week to do it - hurry up!
The 3 B's we want to see are Black, Border punch and Bling.

I have made a box (filled with chocolates for halloween).
The image is a digistamp, Witch Marci, from La-La Land Crafts, coloured with ProMarkers.
I used a Border punch from Martha Stewart and dies from Spellbinders and Marianne Design.
I put on some violet halfbeads, black stones and rhinestones (can you see that Marci's got one on her hat - I couldn't stop myself from putting one there - LOL...
The lid is tied to the box with a purple bow - NOT to be opened until October 31.!
On top of the box I punched two scalloped circles, stamped a halloweengreeting on the smallest and put them on - with black stones on the purple circle and rhinestones on the black circle.

You DO NOT have to make something for Halloween for the Fussy and Fancy challenge, just make sure you bring on the 3B's

My chocolatebox will go into these challenges:
Scrappekommeret - Eske/ Boks (Box)
Fashionista Friday - Spooky Fall
Stampin' for the Weekend - Spooky
Gingerloft Challenge - Halloween
The ABC Challenge - B for Boo
Alphabeth Challenge - S for Soon be Halloween
Fresh Brewed Challenge - Spooky Sweet Treats

Halloween Treats

There's a lot of halloweenchallenges going on, and I've made different things for halloween, both for my own children and for "Trick-or-Treaters" who may show up on monday :D

Halloween isn't a day we traditionally celebrates in Norway, but the last few years it's become more and more popular.
And why fight against it - I like all "days with glitter on"...

These wrapped bottles are small Coca-Cola-bottles (25cl). I made the holders out of black cardstock and corrugated paper. I put on some ribbons and bows made out of thread, and distresserd the corrugated paper with DistressInk BlackSoot. The images are Lalalands Marci and Luka, coloured with ProMarkers.

These two coca-colas go for the challenges at:
Passion for ProMarkers - For a child
NSHK - Bruk et digistempel (use a digistamp)
Alphabet Challenge - S for Soon be Halloween
The ABC Challenge - B for Boo
Gingerloft Challenge - Halloween
Stampin' for the weekend - Spooky
Fashionista Friday - Spooky Fall!
Sweet Stampin' - Halloween
Charisma Cardz
- Anything Goes
Freshly Brewed Challenges - Spooky Sweet Treats
Stamptacular Sunday - Black, Orange, Purple and SCARY TOO!

...well, not only for these challenges - my kids have begged for them for days now, but have agreed to wait at least 'till saturday to drink of them :D
***
And here comes a few pictures of a little more I've made for halloween:
First some Treatbags...
...
...
...two small chocolatebars, wrapped and decorated - a little more exciting than just the ordinary milkchocolate from the shop :D
...and two lollipops.
All images are either printed digistamps or pictures from internet.
(I've used a few clearstamps, for the smallest images, and greetings)
Cardstock and papers are mainly from my scrapbox (Hedda was a great help picking out "halloweenish" papers.

Vintage Christmas

Here's my latest christmascard (I felt I needed the calm in a christmascard between all the black, orange, purple and green for Halloween).

At Sketcy Colors I found the sketch and inspiration to make this card - I guess that it is no secret that some of their DT-girls are amongst my favourite norwegian cardmakers...

I used papers from Pion Design ("Stjärnhimmel" and "Vinterlek"). I distressed the edges of all panels with DistressInk "OldPaper". The snowflakes are made with a Magnolia DooHickey-die and a Martha Stewart-punch (with a rhinestone in the middle). I used Spellbinders Fancy Tags for the sentimenttag. The sentiment is a tiny stamp from Ladybug and Friends stampset ("Julehilsener").
Inside the card I continued the "snowflake-theme" and the sketch...
I made the "bottompart" of the sketch into a pocket, with place for a tag (for personal greetings).
I sew a golden snowflakecharm to the ribbon on the tag.
On the left side I stamped a christmasgreeting (Norsk Stempelblad, plate 21B).
On the backside I used the same papers, snowflake, and my personal "Handmade by Lisbeth"-stamp.

I'll enter my vintage christmascard into these challenges:
Sketchy Colors - Sketch
ABC Christmas Challenge - V is for Vintage
Alota Rubberstamps - Christmas
Simon Says - Anything Goes

Christmas Card

This post will have to be done in a hurry, as I'm rather late for the latest challenge at
Sketch Saturday, where I found the sketch I used for this christmascard.
Isn't Grace standing from SugarNellie (bought at Funky Kits) the cutest digistamp ever!
I think she's so adorable, standing there, shy and wondering - I really want to put my arms around her and give her a warm hug...

With the card I made an envelope, after the same sketch, but without the image.
I've used papers from Papirdesign, Kaiserkraft and one that I can't find the brand of (have lots of that kind...). All edges are distressed before the panels are sewn down.
The swirls are made with Spellbindersdies, and covered with Glossy Accents.
I used some red blingstones and attached a charm to one of the bows.
Before showing the rest of the pictures I'll make a list of which challenges I tried to combine my card for:
Sketch Saturday - Sketch
I love ProMarkers - Ain't it cute
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - You Choose!
Nordsalten Hobbyklubb - Digistempel

Now, the rest of the pictures, first the frontside...
...then the insides - a bit simpler, but with the same paper and style, and with a text from Kort&Godt

and a close-up of the supercute Grace (love her!)

Mailbox

This is something I've seen around in "my travels in blogland", but can't remember where - I've even seen a tutorial to it somewhere, but couldn't find that one either, now that I needed it... :s
(If someone know where I might have seen it, I'd be happy for a link)
I made my mailbox with a window, as I want to see, and show, the christmascards I (may) receive.
I used DPs from Papirdesign - they have sooo many lovely christmaspapers now!
All edges are distressed with DistressInk WalnutStain.
I made the "Tildatopper" of a snowflakedicut (well covered in "Aleens True Snow"), a bit if tulle, and the sitting Tilda (coloured with ProMarkers).
Inside the mailbox I used a paper (Papirdesign) that had little red hearts, so I had to give Tilda red ribbons in her hair -lol
The snowflakes are made with a Magnoliadie and a MS-punch.
In the centre of the snowflakes, and somewhere around I put on some whitetransparentgoldish halfbeads.
I also used a Spellbinderdie, for the swirls.

Now, before showing the rest of the pictures of it, I have to tell you which challenges I've made this one for:
OLLCB - Let it Snow
Card and Scrap - Lag noe som IKKE er firkantet
Stamptacular Sunday - You Choose!
Sukkersøtt - Bretteteknikker

...isn't this paper with a santaimage just perfect for the side of the mailbox - LOVE it!

I'm qiute pleased with my creamy-brown (with a little hint of christmasred) christmascardmailbox - now I'll just have to wait and hope for christmascards to put in it :D

Thanks a lot to Gitte, who sent me the link to Pysseltagen, with the tutorial for the box :)

Christmas Decoration

This is Recycling!
I've made a christmas decoration out of an empty taperoller, the figure is from a broken snowglobe (I dusted it off too hard - YES, REALLY! - LOL).
I thought the lovely couple inside were too cute to throw in the bin, so with fear of cutting my fingers badly, I picked the figure loose - and didn't know what to do with it for almost a year, before this idea popped up...
The doublesided taperolls are always left with one layer of tape that's impossible to get loose orget any use of, so I simply left it on the roll, and attached a DP to it.
Then I cut some Spellbindersdiecuts and glued them onto the roll.
Inside the decoration I "painted" snow (Aleene's True Snow), before I glued down the couple.
I used a lot of snowflakes, halfbeads and chrystalstones.
I used a white sheer ribbon for the bow, and tied a snowflakecharm onto it.

In the next picture it's easier to see the depth of it.
...and here's the backside, same decorating.
The stamp is from an old stampset from Scrappers Choice.

I hope they'll like my christmasdecoration in these challenges:

Card and Scrap - Lag noe som IKKE er firkantet (Make something NOT square)
Jingle belles - A Caroling We Will Go (Let it snow - Dean Martins version!)
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge - Baubles or anything hanging (not sure they'll accept it, as it isn't a card, but I'll try anyway... :)

Trick-or-Treat-Bag

We're now into the second week of Fussy and Fancy Fridays "Fall or Halloween!"-challenge, so if you haven't joined yet, you just have a few days left...
The Design team have made lots of cards and project to inspire you - not to mention all the entries we've already got in - Gorgeous!
Be sure to hop over there to see and join in!

This is my DT-entry for the challenge - for idea and inspiration :)
I've used a digistamp from Bugaboo - isn't this Trick-or-treat-dressed girl just adorable!
I've had her for some time, but wanted to save her for some special occasion - like this :)
Yes, she is coloured with ProMarkers, and I've used a white Sakura Gelpen to highlight some parts.
The orange DP is from Panduro, a really heavyweight paper, a tough job for the Marthe Stewart Punch to punch through...
To close the bag I used a black brad (the zigzagborder below the image is also a brad), as it is easyer than a bow, for children to open and close...
Here comes two more pictures of it, from different angles (not the backside, it is just plain, with the same DP, with distressed edges...):

My Trick-or-Treat-Bag also goes into these challenges:
Delightful Challenges - Colours of Fall
I love ProMarkers - Autumnal Colours
Creative Card Crew - Spooky Fun
Stampin' for the Weekend - Colours of Autumn
Scrap'A'Long - Høst
Ett Trykk - Minst to av fargene lilla, sort eller/ og orange

Halloweencandles

Good morning everyone :)

Just a quick post, with a little thing I made last weekend.
In my house we decorate for halloween, we dress up in spooky costumes and have a really nice day/ evening (I use to dress up as a witch :D)

Here's a little candlebox I made for halloween.
Not many colours used - only black and purple, but I think it gives the right halloweenfeeling.
I used a sitting Tilda (coloured with ProMarkers, of course), and cut a few "wood"sticks to place her upon.
In the branches behind I put on a few purple and violet beads, tied a bow around the candles - and... finish :D

I'll send my Halloween-Candlebox for these challenges:

Magnolia Down Under Challenges - Halloween creations
Totally Tilda - Halloween Tilda
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Fall
Hooked on Craft Challenges - Anything but a card
Stamps R Us - Autumn/ Fall
Cupcake Craft Challenges - Halloween
Creative Card Crew - Spooky Fun

Wrapped in cellophane, with a nice bow on, I think it makes a nice halloweentreat for a grown-up coming to visit, too

OctoberChristmasCards

Here's my three christmascards for October. Of course I both have and will make more than three christmascards this month, but these are the three for Hjertebodens Juleblogg.
I've followed their challenge of making three christmascards each month throughout the year, and wow have that been fun!
It was kind of hard to find the christmasspirit during the summermonths, but I made it!
And now, with only a couple of months left of the year, with more and more christmasspirit coming, I'm sure I will manage three cards per month.
This months cards are made with papers mainly from Pion Design and Papirdesign.
I love their christmascollections!

Sketchy Colors has an absolutely wonderful sketch for this weeks challenge. And the DT have made really inspirational cards. I loved it so much I had to make two cards with it (and have plans for a third... and a fourth...)

This first one I made in coffee and cream colours, as the option was in Just Magnolias Anything Goes Challenge. I've also used a teenytinylittlebit of red.

I used a doohickey and a punch for the snowflakes, with a whitish halfbead in the middle.
The sitting Tilda is coloured with ProMarkers.
And with the sitting Tilda and the hickeysnowflake I'll enter TOMICs Challenge# 19.

After finishing the frontside I kind of panicked when I felt the weight of it, so not making it cost too much posting I had to keep the inside simpler - LOL

(When I saw the photos on the computer I realized I had forgotten the greetingpanels inside - wonderful spellbinderpanels with cute Storytellergreetings - well, I won't take new pictures, as they are quite similar to the ones I used on the card below...
Yes I have attached them now :) )

And here's the third Octobercard. Also made for Sketchy Colors Sketchchallenge.
I felt really brave colouring these Tildas in red clothings - colouring in bold colours is a bit out of my comfort zone, so I felt pretty proud when I had finished them :)
The picture below shows the inside (same labels used for the first card too ;) )

Halloween Garland

In my house we've started to prepare for Halloween.
Lots of black, orange, purple and green coloured stash have been found.
We're looking through old stash and planning the new.

Here's a new garland I made the other day - a new garland made of old stuff, LOL...
I used Heddas cuttlebugalphabet for the letters on the garland - 9 letters, 9 banners.
I used three Magnoliaimages (2 Tildas and 1 Edwin), coloured with ProMarkers.
In the scrapbox I found different HalloweenDPs that I distressed and attached to the banners before decorating them in different ways.
The orange tickets are digistamps from Whimsy ( which I won(!) some weeks ago) - aren't the great :D

Below you can see closer pictures of the garland.

I'll enter my Halloweengarland into these challenges:

TOMIC - Halloween, everything but a card
Magnolia-Licious Challengeblog - Halloween
Magnolia Down Under Challenges - Halloween
Little Darlings - Fall or Halloween
Stamptacular Sunday - So Distressing!

Red, Grey and Green ChristmasCard

Just a quick post from me tonight, showing a christmascard I made after the sketch at Sketch Saturdays latest challenge. Sketchy Colors wanted to see the colours Red, Grey and Green, and Card and Scrap wanted Distressing or Embossing, so I chose to combine those three challenges to make this card. This is also my first christmascard for Hjertebodens Juleblogg
Below you can see the inside, where I worked after the same sketch.
I used the papers "Christmas flower" and "Christmas tree" from Pion Design, and cardstock in Green, red and grey.

Thanks for stopping by.

Blue ChristmasCard

Another blue christmascard - that colour seems to be my favourite this year, for so long at least - it may change when the snow comes...
I used three different blue/white christmaspapers, from Maja Design, Magnolia and Papirdesign, and sew them together after Sketch N Stashs sketch. The image is from Hänglar och Stänglar, stamped upon Kraftcardstock and coloured with colourpencils.
I used three different snowflakpunches, painted over with Glimmerglam Glitterpaint, and put on three buttons (transparent blue and white those too).
The greeting (barely showing in the picture, as it is stamped with lightpaleblue ink, stamped on the Spellbinderdiecut), is from Ladybug and Friends.
And of course the charm, fastened to the bow, had to be a snowflake :)
I brushed over all edges with the same pale blue colour as I used for the stamped greeting.
Inside the card I used (my favourite winter) paper from Papirdesign :)
The sentiment is a digi from Whimsy.

I'll enter my blue christmascard into these challenges:

Sketch N Stash - Sketch (optional extra; 3 different patterned papers, 3 embellishments)
Winter Wonderland - How Charming
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge - For a Male
The ABC Challenge - Anything Goes (Welcome back to ABC Challenge :D)

Shabby Chic BirthdayCard

As soon as I saw TOMICs latest challenge I knew I'd participate there. I loved the sketch, and the picture, meant for inspiration, really do inspire!
I rushed to find the papers and stuff I wanted to use - then I had to figure out what I wanted to do with the papers...
After a little while surfing around I came to I Love ProMarkers challengeblog.
They wanted us to "Get Distressed"... and wait a minute - wasn't that what the challenge at Magnolia Stamp Lovers was also... checking, checking... Yes, I remembered right.
Then I'll distress it - I may have come to that conclusion anyway...
So there I sat, tearing and ripping, embossing and distressing, punching and dieing - oh, and waiting for the goldcolour to dry(!) It seemed to take days to dry, but actually it was just a few (too many) hours...
Inside the card I used my new Spellbinders "Twisted Metal Tags and Accents" - aren't those swirls the loveliest! I used a Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page to make the labels inside.
On the back I used the same Spellbinderset as where the swirls came from (I used it on the outside, as well - it may be a new favourite :D).
I like to decorate all sides of the card (think it's more finished with all pages decorated), and that's what Sukkersøtt wants us to do in their challenge #139
Simon Says Stamp! has a Anything Goes challenge this time, and says they'd love to reach "the magic 1000" - I'd love to help them reach that number of participants - wouldn't you...

Below you'll find pictures of the in- and backside of the card, and a list of the challenges I'll enter my card into :)

TOMIC # 17 - Get Inspired
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Distressing
I LOVE ProMarkers # 85 - Get Distressing
Sukkersøtt #139 - Dekorer hele kortet
Simon Says Stamp! - Anything Goes
