Beatrix Potter Box with a little Gift

At Let's get shabby they are Beatrix Potter inspired this week, and they certainly gave me the same inspiration. I loved her stories when I was a girl, and now my daughter loves them too :)

I've made a box (ca 9,5 X 12 cm), and decorated it with images from the Tom Kitten story.
I bought a book for Hedda (my daughter) with B. Potter-stories, and - lucky me - that book had a lot of stickers also :D (I had to admit that when I say I bought it for Hedda, it's not the whole truth - I wanted it myself too...)
The stickers are attached to cardstock, then I cut them to the shape I wanted.
All edges (on the box, the panels and the stickers) are distressed with DistressInk WalnutStain.
I've used blue flowers, a lot of small beads on top, and some bigger beads along the edges (that can't be seen on this picture). I've also used some lace and ribbons.

I chose Tom Kitten because I have an absolutely adorable stampimage of him that I wanted to make earrings of.

Here's the earrings. I've attached them to a piece of cardstock where I've stamped and embossed the Tom Kitten image - i think he looks cute without colours as well :)
The earrings are made of shrinkfilm.

Teabox

I have made a teabox, and it was so fun to make!
I've seen it made in other blogs, but when I started looking around, the only tutorials I could find was for After Eight chocolates (isn't it typical..!) Well, I used one of those, and just measured it up for teabags - I think it turned out rather good :)
Again I've used a Magnolia stamp, I don't think I'll ever get tired of them :)
The image is coloured with ProMarkers, and I've used some glitter to highlight the wings and a few details on Tildas clothes (I know - it doesn't show in the pictures, but it is there).
All edges are very lightly roughened and brushed with DistressInk.
I ran a ribbon through the holes on the diecut (Nellie's Multiframe), then tied a bow at the bottom - below Tildas feet.
I tried to keep the decorating simple on the lid, with a lace around the edge and some flowers, pearlstrings and beads on top of it - it should be possible to open the box (for refilling) without ruining it...
I'll enter these challenges with my teabox:
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Ribbons, Pearls/Rhinestones and Flowers
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Ribbon
Scrapperiket - Blomster og Perler (Flowers and Pearls)
Just Magnolia - "Eyes down" - Bingo ( I chose the line with "Distressing, Flowers and Paper")

I hope you like my Teabox

Stamp - Magnolia

Glimmermist
Crystal Glitter (Stampendous)

Thanks for stopping by, and remember; I love comments ;)

Two birthdaycards

Two of the girls in Sanders class are celebrating their birthdays right now.
I thought that the cards couldn't be too different when two girls are celebrating together, so I used the same sketch making the cards.
The sketch is Friday Sketchers #147.
The images are not the same, but both are from Sugar Nellie - aren't they just lovely!
I bought mine from Funky Kits.
Both cards are easelcards, one in different violet colours and the other in pink shades.
Cupcake Craft Challenges wants Monochromatic cards this week, so I'll enter there with this card, as well :)
I'll also enter challenge 144 at A Spoon Full of Sugar. They wants to see Ribbon, Pearls/ Rhinestones and Flowers on the cards - all those things I love to use, so this one is for them too :)
Scrap'a'long Utfordringsbloggs challenge #3 is "Bursdag" (Birthday). Scrap'a'long is a wonderful, new challengeblog, and I'd love to play along there :)
The last challenge I'll enter is Kort o Manias challenge, which is to use dies and/or punches. I've used Martha Stewart edge punch on the panels on the outside, and Marvy Uchida scalloped circles in two sizes inside the card (doesn't show very well in the picture).

Here I've opened the card, and you can see the paperclip where some money can be fastened (she told me that money was what she wanted for her birthday...)

Materials used for the violet card:
Cardstock: Bazzill Canvas and Dots
DP: Karen Marie Klip Lilac Notes, Glitterpaper from either Panduro or Nille
Stamp: SugarNellie "Connie" Digistamp, Text and frame I think are from Kreativ Hobby
Colors: ProMarkers
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Colorbox Pink Pastel
Flowers: Papirdesign
Martha Stewart edge punch, Scalloped circle punches from Marvy Uchida
Organza ribbon, Rhinestones, pearls, heartshaped paperclip

I made the pink card using the same sketch, and the same DP for the bottom panel, but in a pink shade here.
The stamp here is "Grace standing" - have you seen such an adorable girl!!! I love her!

Materials used for the pink card:
Cardstock: Bazzill Canvas and Dots
DP: Karen Marie Klip Pink Notes, Glitterpaper from either Panduro or Nille
Stamp: SugarNellie "Grace standing" Digistamp, Text and frame I think are from Kreativ Hobby
Colours: ProMarkers
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Colorbox Lilac
Flowers: Papirdesign
Glimmermist Vintage Pink and Rose Tea
Martha Stewart edge punch, Scalloped circle punches from Marvy Uchida

my third christmascard in March

Here's my third, and maybe last, christmascard for March.
I've used the sketch from
Sketchy Colors challenge # 63 to put the card together.
This is also the last card (maybe...) for Hjerteboden's Juleblogg this month.

It's an easelcard, and the image is Sarah Kays from Stampavie. I think this girl posting letter - I think it's for Santa - is so lovely. I've seen the image used a lot, but haven't found it in any shops until a couple of weeks ago...
Because I don't think I'll be able to just write "merry christmas", and nothing more, I've made it possible to pull out the "inlaycard", and write on both sides of it :)

Materials:
Cardstock: Bazzill kraftcardstock, DCWV
DP: Scrappers Choice "Julepost", 3ndyPapir "Julebrev"
Stamps: Image Stampavie Sarah Kay, Text Storyteller
Colours: ProMarkers, LePlumes (and glitterpens for the tiny details on the girls purse)
Ink: Adirondack Earthtones Espresso, DistressInk VintagePhoto
Old stamps, brads, ribbon, punches and sewingmachine

My first two christmascards in March

I had decided to make this months christmascard with Images from Sarah Kay, but when I started, I just HAD to use this image from Ladybug & Friends - I think it is so cute...
I've now finished the first two (out of three) for Hjerteboden's Juleblogg, and started the last (actually almost finished it...)
Here's the inside, with a little twist from the sketch used in front,
from Sukkersøtt's challenge #117.

Materials used:
DP from Imaginisce, and som leftovers
Imagestamp from Ladybug & Friends
Textstamps from Storyteller
Martha Stewart Snowflakepunch
Nellie's Multiframe
ProMarkers
Inkpads: Adirondack Earthtones Espresso, Versacraft (for fabric), Ranger Holiday Vintage Scented Ink (it smells just like christmas!)

Now, finally(!) I've got my hands on this lovely image from Sarah Kay.
I think these little choirboys are so adorable - especially the little one in the back who has lost his paper...
This card is my second for Hjerteboden's Juleblogg, and I also enter Sketch Saturdays Challenge # 147 with it.
Inside of the card (shown the wrong way...)

ProMarkers, Le Plume

Springtimecard with Tilda

It's not quite spring where I live, but soon, very soon it'll be here :)
I've made a springtimefeelingcard in most (soft)green- and pinktones. All edges are a bit roughened and distressed. Some of the panels are sewn down.
The letters in the quote (have anyone ever listened to this one...) are distressed and glued one by one (a really mess - LOL)
The card opened. I've made a pocket inside where I can put a letter (I may have mentioned it before; I often find it a bit difficult to say all I have to say on a card...)

A close-up of Tilda, I think I'm better at colouring now - but oh, I learn new things about my ProMarkers every time I use them...

I'll enter these challenges with my card:
Just Magnolia - Bev's sketch
StampARTic - Spring!
Creative Card Crew - Show us some GREEN
The ABC Challenge - Q is for quote

Materials used:
Bazzill Cardstock
DP's from Papirdesign; "soft", "home" and "grace"
The stamp is one of my highly loved Magnolias, coloured with ProMarkers
Flowers from Mulberry
Beads from my very full drawer ;)
Spellbinders Fancy Tags
DistressInk Walnut stain
Adirondack Earthtones Espresso ink for the image (I like the "softer" lines from browncolours rather than black)
GelInkPen for the tiny hearts on Tildas dress

My Favourite Movie

Here's the cover I made for my backup of my absolute favourite movie.
Can you imagine how happy I got when I saw what the challenges at Paper Romance and Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog were this week!
I've had very much work to get my hands on that movie, so I'm very afraid it might get damaged or lost - or simply "outworn" :)
I might come to need it when I some day go back to teaching...
My favourite movie is actually a musical - it's "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat".
(I'm a great fan of musicals - I don't know anybody who even likes them :( )
The story is based on the "coat of many colors" story of Joseph from the Hebrew Bible's book of Genesis.
I thought that for a cover for that movie it would be suitable to use as many colours as possible :)
The image is a colourimage from internet, which I've coloured (mostly) with Marvy Le Plumes (ProMarkers for skintones).

With this one I'll enter these challenges:
Paper Romance Challenges: Color!
Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog: Favourite Movie
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge: Sketch

Here I'll try to post a video from the movie, I hope you'll take time to listen to it, and enjoy it as much as I do:

Any dream will do

and my very favourite:

Close every door

The inside of the cover. Here's place for a short note about the movie - already written and ready, I just have to wait my turn for the printer....

Shabbychic cup

Now I have made a cup too, I've chosen to use mine for pens - might need more than one - LOL
with this one I'm back to the soft colours, a more shabbychick style, where I work a little "safer" than with my last blogpost :)
I'll send this one for the challenges at:
Just Magnolia: Anything goes with the option of adding glitter to the creation
Paperplaychallenges: Shabbychic/ vintage
A Spoon Full of Sugar: Anything with a vintage/ shabby theme!!!

I've used Bazzill cardstock for the cup, and decorated it with 3ndypapir's lovely paper "soft".
Tilda (from Magnolia) is coloured with ProMarkers.
The flowers are from Storyteller.
I've used Glitterpowder from Panduro on both Tildas dress and on the flowers.
Around the top of the cup I've used a white lace.
The handle is cut with Spellbinders Labels Four.

Gothic birthdaycard

The challenge at Creative Card Crew is "Gothic" - something I've never tried before - but with this wonderful Kenny K image i decided to give it a try, I hope they'll like it.
I even tried my black ProMarker - not much used before. I sat long just holding it before I dared to try it - and when I'd finished the clothes and mouth not too bad, I thought I'd stop before it went wrong, so she got brown hair with some purple stripes :)
I've highlighted her mouth with a little dash of Glossyaccents (I'm not sure it shows in the picture)
The textstamp is from Kort&Godt, I think it works quite well with this style.
I've also used some nails on the card (they're actually meant for clothing, but I think it works just as well on a card).

The backside of the card, the paper used is Rusty Pickles Pirate Princess. In the chain I've put two skulls, one in front and one on the back of the card.

It was fun to try something different from pastels and flowers, and satisfying to see that I can use my black ProMarker as well - LOL

Eggcups

A while ago I saw something like this i a blog, and thought I'd try to make it.
When I finally found time and inspiration to do it, I couldn't find back to the blog - isn't it typical!
So - I had to figure out a way to make my own eggcups, far from as beautiful as the one I saw, but I'm quite pleased with them after all :)

Thats just so cute has a "Påskeextra" where the colours they want to see are purple, pink, green and yellow, and don't make anything square. I hope my eggcups will fit into that challenge.

Here's a close-up of the yellow eggcup, I've tried to keep most of Tilda and Edwins clothes in the cupcolours.
Inside the cups I've put some goldcoloured "angelhair", to protect the egg.

Seedpacketpocket

In many challengeblogs the theme is spring, in many variations.
When I went to the shop the other day they had put up a rack full of seedpackets - and in a flash I knew I had to enter some of those challenges. I knew what I would make, which image I'd use, even which colours I'd use :)
The image is from the back of a Sarah Kay Stickersheet. I scanned the image, printed it and coloured it with my ProMarkers.
- Isn't she lovely, on her way out in the garden, to plant some seeds...

I used the sketch from the challenge at stampwithsarahkay, and made it into a pocket, where some of the details from the sketch are the pockets closing.

I've just bought Spellbinders "Fancy Tags" (got them in the mail a few days ago), and have been looking for an opportunity to use them since - here I found it - I used it for securing the closing ofthe pocket :)

The challenges I enter with this project are:
stampwithsarahkay - Sketch
incywincydesigns - Spring is in the Air
citycrafter - Spring Fling
pennyschallenges - Going for the Green
stampinfortheweekend - Spring
sirstampalot - Spring is in the Air (colours green, yellow and/ or blossom pink)

Giftbag for christmas

For Winter Wonderlands challenge "Include an animal" I've made til little giftbag.
It measures about 5 X 3,5".
I have tried to keep it quite simple, but found that it needed a little flower and a few beads (just couldn't help myself...)
Underneath the image I've placed a "Hook & Loop"-dot to close the bag - it actually works very well for closing and holding things together.
The stampimage is from Ladybug & Friends, and I think it is absolutely adorable :)
I've coloured it with my ProMarkers (even tried to give "Rudolph" a red nose, after my daughters demand).
The dies used here is my first Nellie Snellen, they have a much nicer price than Spellbinders dies, so I think I need more of those!
